Natural Environment
Fterikoudi lies in a beautiful valley of the Troodos Mountains, dominated by various shades of green.
Wild vegetation includes thyme, rockrose, terebinth, and oak, along with pine-covered slopes. The village also hosts diverse fauna, including nightingales that sing each spring.
Cultivated land includes hazelnut, almond, apple, and cherry trees, as well as vegetables. Olives are widely cultivated (about 1,300 trees), while vineyards are limited (about 280 terraces), producing grapes such as “mavro” and “xynisteri” varieties used for making wine, zivania, and traditional products.
A remarkable natural landmark is a majestic oak tree aging over 370 years old, whose branches form a distinctive “N” shape.
